The Highlights
The Retreat
"You can't pour from an empty cup"
Everyday, everywhere, we are hearing the message to slow down and take care of ourselves. Yet more than ever we are feeling stressed, overwhelmed and so….tired. It is easy to get caught up in the everyday tasks; to do lists, emails, meetings, appointments and the general busy-ness of modern life, without taking the time to properly relax and reset.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. But as fast as you can take care of yourself, you are giving to others, leaving you feeling drained and depleted.

Wouldn’t you just love to escape and have the time and the space to truly rest, restore and reconnect? If you are ready to burst out of hibernation, take a break from your responsibilities to explore your potential through the ancient practice of yoga, all while soaking up the sun and sights of Beautiful Broome, then this is the retreat for you!

This yoga and mindfulness retreat has been designed to give you the space and time to stretch out and connect your mind, body and spirit in a calm, relaxed, supportive environment.

By joining us for 7 days and 6 nights of blissful retreat at the gorgeous, award winning Mangrove Hotel, Broome, you can give yourself the time and space to truly unwind and decompress through yoga, mindfulness, meditation and rest.
We will provide you with opportunities to practice morning and evening, leaving your days free to relax by the pool, explore, reflect and meet with like-minded people.
For the more adventurous types and those bringing non-yogi partners, friends or family, optional tours and day trips will also be on offer.
The Accommodation

Set on the turquoise shores of Roebuck Bay, the award winning Mangrove Hotel is in the perfect location to discover Broome's famed attractions. The hotel is in the ideal location to start discovering the rugged wonderland of Western Australia’s North West Coast. Experience the region’s imposing fiery red cliffs, unearth genuine dinosaur footprints, reel in a Spanish mackerel off the coast and find a stretch of pristine beach all to yourself.

Mangrove Hotel is at the heartbeat of all the action. It’s a short stroll to the historic shopping mecca Chinatown and a five-minute drive to Cable Beach. Catch a show at the oldest outdoor cinema in the world, splurge on a Broome pearl souvenir and enjoy a camel safari on the white sandy shoreline.
The guest rooms have been styled with you in mind, offering maximum comfort and convenience. Choose your escape zone and be surrounded by lush tropical gardens, poolside escapes or stunning bayside vistas.
Wi-Fi and wired internet is available to stay connected with business, family and friends. A pillow menu is available to ensure that you have a great night sleep. Unwind in front of a latest release movie, or watch your favourite Netflix series through screen mirroring capability.
The Bay Club is a stylish outdoor restaurant and bar overlooking Roebuck Bay. You can listen to live music, indulge in cocktails, have a cold beer and sample the Kimberley’s best produce. Lounge in day beds, curl-up in cabanas or gather a big group together around a table and wile away the hours in the tropical surrounds.

The Difference

The Global Travel Foundation exists to create a difference through the experience of travel.

It is important to us that we recognise that while being able to take deep rest is necessary, it is also a privilege that is not available to everyone. So it is very important that while providing you with the best experience possible, we also help you give back to others.
Through our Foundation, we partner with a local charity for all of our trips so that we can have a positive impact on the places we visit.
By coming on this retreat, you will be making a difference to the lives of hundreds of underprivileged children through by helping us support the work of 'Feed The Little Children' in Broome.

It’s no surprise that the hunger epidemic is one of the biggest challenges the global community is facing, but it can be unsettling to learn it’s prevalent in our own backyard. Many Australian children don’t know where their next meal is coming from, and when they do eat, aren’t getting the adequate nutrition they need to lead healthy lifestyles. That’s where Feed the Little Children come in. Working alongside Broome children who live in some of the toughest circumstances and would otherwise struggle for food, Feed the Little Children provide over 600 meals each week, around 75% of the children they support are less than ten-years-old.
Mainly assisting Aboriginal families, their clients often live in overcrowded housing, survive off very low incomes, and struggle with complex historical, social, cultural, and economic factors. Feed the Little Children is not about free handouts; by working together with children, they seek to support and encourage them as their households stabilise and become self-sufficient.

We are very proud to be able to support Feed the Little Children through our travels.
If you wish to get involved further, we will also have an external fundraiser that we would love you to be a part of, as well as a collection of necessary items that we can take up. When we are in Broome the invitation is open for you to join us for a volunteer visit to Feed the Little Children.
